Title: Go To Sleep
Fandom: Gundam 00
Pairing: Lockon/Allelujah
Rating: G
Notes: Random mini drabble.
Allelujah awoke with a start, feeling his body suddenly being jerked up into a sitting position. His eyes went wide as he tried to judge through a sleep-fogged mind just what was going on; he felt arms still wrapped around him like they had been when he had fallen asleep hours previous, even tighter now, and could both hear and feel the older Meister gasping for breath. "Lockon...?" he murmured, trying to pull away to be able to get a good look at him. Any movement was cut by a harder squeeze, so he sat still, waiting.
It took a good minute, but Lockon's breathing began to even out, and the grip around him became a little slacker. "Lockon," Allelujah repeated, drawing back slightly to give him a concerned look. "...bad dream?" He didn't get a response, and blue-green eyes were still closed, but he knew his lover well enough that asking in the first place was rather pointless.
Slowly but surely, he pulled him back down to lay down on the bed again, making sure to keep holding him. "Shh...it's okay," he murmured, one hand moving to gently stroke through Lockon's hair. "Whatever it was, it's over. It was just a dream. It's okay now. I'm here." He kept whispering these gentle reassurances, the heartbeat he could feel against his own chest starting to slow down and normalize. Even if he tried to ask Lockon what the dream was about, the other rarely answered. In the end, it didn't matter, though. Comfort was comfort, and he would do everything he could to help him.
He kept with this---stroking hair, skin, small kisses across his face, murmurs of affection and promises that everything would be alright. Lockon didn't say a word, but that he had calmed down was enough. For a moment, Allelujah briefly considered singing one of the lullabies in the back of his own mind, but by then, he could hear that the other man's breathing had slowed and he had already fallen fast asleep.
"...sweet dreams, then," he murmured, placing another kiss to Lockon's forehead.
He ended up singing the lullaby anyway, just to make sure, falling asleep himself sometime in the middle of the second verse.
